I am trying to speak with my own voice but if there is one influence for me it is Sarah Moon.
My work may not immediately bear any resemblance to hers but what I take from Sarah Moon is her freeness with the medium.
You may think that there are rules that have to be obeyed in photography but there aren't - just try to be yourself not somebody else.
I didn't become interested in photography until my 30's but it quickly became a passion & suddenly I found that it is what I really had to do.
Having worked as a professional photographer for the past 5 years I now find myself returning to architecture on a full time basis & rejoining the amateur photography ranks.
What started me off was landscape photography & I worked as an architectural photographer but for my personal style I found that I didn't want to follow other peoples expectations of what a photograph should be.
